| Christmas Breakfast |
Great-Grandpa arrived early for Christmas breakfast. Everyone already had their stockings, but presents had to wait until after the traditional breakfast. However, I heard Grandma and Grandpa remark that this breakfast wasn't exactly traditional because Great-Grandpa had suggested the bacon be cooked in the oven. Grandpa asked Grandma, "What? He doesn't want his eggs soaked with bacon grease?" It seems that Great-Grandpa is an old-fashioned Vermonter and this change surprised them.
There was some wondering about Uncle Shawn's choice of shirt for this Christmas. Grandpa thought it was a subtle message to all about his dissatisfaction with no longer being the baby of the family. I don't know if there is any truth to this though. All I know is that I have fun with Uncle Shawn. (I want to play with his Playstation!)
I was there for this holiday breakfast...

| But all I got was that darned bottle again! |
| Great-Grandpa and I retire to the living room after breakfast. |
We did end up with a white Christmas after all. Despite the
mild weather for Vermont, it snowed just before Christmas. That is why
the windows are so white in the picture above... that and because the
sun was shining brightly off the snow outside.

| Go Raincheck... Go Raincheck! |
Everyone soon followed us into the living room. This year Grandpa passed out the presents. He made a deal with Uncle Shawn so he could get pictures at the right time. The deal was that he promised Uncle Shawn the first present if he let Grandpa pass out the presents. Uncle Shawn's first present was a Raincheck like the one on the Toys-R-Us commercial. Grandma and Grandpa didn't want him to be the only boy on his block who didn't get a raincheck!
For a long time, Great-Grandpa said he would order a spiral cut ham from Swiss Colony someday. (Great-Grandpa likes his food.) Wouldn't you know that the year that Grandma and Grandpa got him one for Christmas was the year he finally broke down and ordered one for himself!!! Good thing Great-Grandpa likes his food. (He also liked the cookbook Uncle Shawn gave Grandma!)
| Ooops! You shouldn't have! |
| Cookbook... Power Planner... Final Fantasy 7... |
| Grandma likes her cookbook, too! |
| Bath stuff to relax Mom? BORING! Where's mine? |
| I've seen the Teddy Bear... what's that? Awww, shucks... just clothes. |
Aunt Sam gave Great-Grandpa a little bean pot. (Great-Grandpa likes his food!) |
| Uhhhhh... this place is getting crowded! |
| I'm under here somewhere! |
HEY! Remember me? Guess I'll just dig myself out! |
Oh well! Guess I might as well relax and wait! |
| Uhhhhh... Gram, I think that's mine! |

Everyone likes Tigger and Roo! |
Great-Grandpa rescued me when it was all over... but that may be because he wanted my Tigger and Roo toy also! There were a lot of presents, but that was the best one because it bounces and goes, "WOO-HOOOO!" Mom liked the rose Grandpa and Uncle Shawn gave Grandma... she said that Dad never does anything like that for her. Uncle Shawn disappeared into his room until dinner that evening to play all the Playstation games he got. Dinner looked good and smelled good, but do you think I got any of it?
This was all so much fun that I hope we can do it again next year... and hopefully Aunt Sam will let Dad come home then!
