On the road to Burlington Airport
Grandpa was concerned about road conditions the night before we
arrived. They got some snow the night before and the weather
reports didn't sound good. However, the road crews did a good job and
the sun came out and dried everthing up. It was a nice day to arrive.

Grandma finds Mom
Grandma and Grandpa arrived at the airport early. They went to the airport restaurant to wait. Grandma was too nervous to eat anything, but she did have coffee and an english muffin. Grandpa had 2 eggs, sausage, homefries, english muffins and coffee. Grandma may have been too nervous to eat, but that didn't stop her from stealing Grandpa's homefries!
Grandma watched the planes landing and everytime she saw one coming in she said, "Maybe that's them!" Grandpa would laugh because he knew it was too early. He wanted to get a picture of Grandma watching the planes come in, but was certain she was in no mood for that. He values his hide!
A large commuter plane landed and Grandma said, "Maybe that's them!" Grandpa looked at a clock and saw it was 15 minutes before our scheduled arrival. The plane had to use the full length of the runway and disappearred from view. As it did, Grandpa turned to Grandma and said, "Nope, it's a fly through... not even stopping." Grandma almost hit him! Turns out that the joke was on Grandpa because it was us... we arrived early. Then Mom tricked them also.

"Grandma! I'm down here!"
Grandma and Grandpa were expecting to recognize Mom because she would be carrying me in her arms. She had me in that confounded car seat partially hidden by baggage and they almost missed us. Dad really should have sent them a picture of her!
Then Grandma was so excited about finding Mom, I thought she had forgotten about me. I patiently waited and that was no easy task! It was a long journey from Japan and I was tired of that car seat. Finally she remembered me and rescued me from that seat. It was good to get out and stretch. However, just when I thought I was free of it... they stuck me back in it!
Now we have a ride back to Grandma's that is almost 2 hours long. Stuck in that car seat a little while longer, but that is not all. Mom and Grandma have to go SHOPPING before we leave Burlington! Ackkk! It turned out okay though because I found a way out of that darned car seat... Grandpa! When Mom and Grandma wandered off into the midst of the clothes racks, I lifted myself up as much as I could and Grandpa got the hint that I wanted out of that seat. I got to look around and watch people, but I didn't like the woman who stopped to talk to Grandpa. I think she wanted to fix me up with her little girl.

"Ahhhhh! At last!"
Eventually we made our way back to the van and headed to Grandma's house. I was so glad to get there and get out of that car seat once and for all. I was so tired of that seat and travelling that I slept all the way there. Grandpa said that Grandma was so entralled with Mom that she was practically hanging over the back of her seat to talk to Mom. He even suggested that Grandma climb into the back seat and put me in the front seat. (I think Grandpa likes me!)
When we finally got to Grandma's, Aunt Sam and Uncle Shawn were waiting with open arms. While they welcomed me with hugs and kisses, Grandma made a phone call. The next thing I knew this BIG GUY arrived. He gave Mom a big hug and sat down. Then they gave me to him. He is pretty neat and I found out that he is my great-grandfather!
My Dad may want me to play football when I grow up because he played
football, but I may not be able to do that. While everyone was great
and I had fun, I did get passed around like a football. I might
sympathize with the football too much to pass it around! I got wore
out by all this activity.

Everyone that was going to be here for Christmas was here. The only one missing was my Dad and everyone said that was because of Uncle Sam. Sam is my aunt, not my uncle, and what did she have to do with it???
